Boubacar Touré Mandémory

Boubacar Touré Mandémory, a self-taught photographer, represents a contemporary movement in Africa to reject ethnographic-realist representations of the continent. His work includes 1998 coverage of the African Football Cup in Burkina Faso for Liberation and a 1999 exhibition on African comedians at the Francophone Film Festival in Namur, Belgium, and at FESPACO (Pan-African Film Festival).
