Vyjayanthi Rao is an assistant professor of anthropology and international affairs at the New School for Social Research. She is currently completing a book manuscript of essays tentatively titled “Globalization and the Speculative Ethic: Space, Violence, and Subjectivity in Postindustrial Mumbai.”
