Achille Mbembe

Achille Mbembe is a research professor in history and politics at the University of the Witwatersrand, in Johannesburg, South Africa. He is also co-convenor of the Johannesburg Workshop in Theory and Criticism (JWTC) and a visiting professor at Duke University's Department of Romance Studies. His forthcoming book, Critique de la raison nègre, will be published in Paris in 2010.
