Andrew Lakoff is an assistant professor of sociology and science studies at the University of California, San Diego. He is the author of Pharmaceutical Reason: Knowledge and Value in Global Psychiatry (2005) and coeditor of Global Pharmaceuticals: Ethics, Markets, Practices (with Adriana Petryna and Arthur Kleinman, 2006).
