Elizabeth Shakman Hurd

Elizabeth Shakman Hurd is an assistant professor of political science at Northwestern University. She writes and teaches about the cultural and religious foundations of international relations, focusing on relations between Europe, the United States, and the Middle East. She is the author of The Politics of Secularism in International Relations (2008) and is the editor, with Linell Cady, of Comparative Secularisms in a Global Age (forthcoming).
