Lynn Spigel

Lynn Spigel is a professor in the Screen Cultures program at Northwestern University. She is the author of TV By Design: Modern Art and the Rise of Network Television (2009), Welcome to the Dreamhouse: Popular Media and Postwar Suburbs (2001), and Make Room for TV: Television and the Family Ideal in Postwar America (1992). She is co-editor of numerous anthologies including Television after TV: Essays on a Media in Transition (2004).
