Marilyn Ivy

Columbia University

Marilyn Ivy is an Associate Professor of Anthropology at Columbia University. She received a Ph.D. in Anthropology from Cornell University. Prior to teaching at Columbia, Ivy taught at the University of Chicago and the University of Washington. Her research has primarily involved Japanese culture and politics and generally been focused on the question of modernity.
