Rachel Dwyer

Rachel Dwyer is professor of Indian cultures and cinema at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. She is writing her eleventh book, Bollywood’s India: Indian Cinema as a Guide to Modern India for Reaktion Books. She edits two book series on South Asian cinema, one with Oxford University Press, Delhi, and the other with Indiana University Press. Her current research interests include the emotions in Hindi cinema and the cultural history of the Indian elephant.
