Susan Ruddick

Susan Ruddick is an associate professor in the Department of Geography/Program in Planning at the University of Toronto. She has written extensively on globalization and the social construction of childhood, the child as a limit condition to the liberal subject, and the genealogy of “youth-in-trouble” — the latter in Young and Homeless in Hollywood: Mapping Social Identities (1996). She is currently working on a manuscript on Michel Foucault and Gilles Deleuze.
